Challenge: Oakland City Church needed to migrate its outdated WordPress site to a more user-friendly platform. The team struggled with complex backend management, slow loading times, and a lack of mobile optimization, which made it difficult for users to find sermons and event information.

I executed a full migration to Wix, redesigning the site for simplicity and ease of use. The new website design is clean and organized, featuring a sermon archive, clear event listings, and a modern, inviting aesthetic that matches the church’s brand.   Additionally, SEO optimization helped to improve local search visibility and attract new church members. 

With approximately 50 pages of valuable content to transfer, I took on the challenge of creating a simplified system using the Wix database, ensuring easy management and publication of sermons moving forward that any non-technical staff could easily update.
